About Fil

Fil Rea is the Director of Preconstruction & Estimating at the Weitz Company. His experiences include working on several iconic building projects in Colorado & the US, including the Mile High United Way Headquarters in Denver, the Ritz-Carlton Residences in Vail, The Grand Colorado at Peak 8 in Breckenridge, the Mesa Verde National Park Visitor & Research Center in Cortez, and the 4.8 million square foot American Dream Meadowlands project in New Jersey. Fil is a graduate of Wheaton College in Massachusetts where he studied International Relations & Economics. Fil later spent more than 10 years in the field as a carpenter, surveyor and estimator before attending Colorado State University\'s Construction Management certificate program. Fil is also LEED AP accredited by the United States Green Building Council, and is a certified DBIA Associate by Design Build Institute of America.
