About Marc Squires
Throughout my 20+ years at Fidelity Investments, I have had the privilege to work in our Personal Investing, Workplace Investing and Institutional businesses. I’ve learned a great deal during that journey, with the consistent theme being that financial advice plays a mission critical role in people’s lives. Firms in the broker-dealer space represent the full spectrum of businesses poised to play that role – from institutional to direct, including independent, high-net worth focused and regional firms. This space is one that is positioned for growth, as firms continue to evolve into sophisticated wealth management platforms. The broker-dealer firms we work with provide technology platforms, diverse investment solutions and sophisticated planning tools, marketing programs, practice management insight, compliance and administrative teams, and more. They view themselves as strategic consultants, practice management strategists and back-office experts ready to meet the needs of today’s investors and advisors. In my role as head of the Wealth and Brokerage Platforms Segment of Fidelity Institutional, I lead a team of associates who provide broker-dealers access to a flexible, open-technology environment, extensive practice management resources, wealth management investments and related execution and clearing services. And as the wealth & investment management ecosystem we all operate in continues to evolve, I aim to help you keep track of it all and provide insights that will help firms showcase their value to investors and advisors.Things are changing every day, and together we can work to navigate the twists and turns that come our way.
