I lead the organizations which are part of the puzzle to solve the most fundamental challenge in distributed systems: Identity. As the General Manager for AWS IAM Identity Center and Builder ID, I oversee a 200+ person global organization responsible for foundational services that serve as the front door to AWS - supporting everyone from individual developers to the world’s largest corporations. My career began in engineering within high-growth startups, and that technical foundation, tempered by my experience as a CTO for a VC and a strategic advisor, shapes my approach to building at scale. To me, identity is the connective tissue of the cloud; it demands the highest possible bar for security, scalability, and developer productivity.My leadership is rooted in the belief that culture is a product you must architect. Whether advising firms on digital transformation in earlier roles or managing high-stakes services like IAM Identity Center, I focus on building environments where teams can thrive. I excel at optimizing delivery and operations, transforming complex technical roadmaps into predictable, high-quality execution, while simultaneously prioritizing team morale and cultural health. To set an organization up for success, I pull on multiple levers: refining organizational structures to remove silos, sharpening communication to provide better context, and ensuring teams have the autonomy to act. By combining these structural shifts with technical improvements, I empower my organization to make decentralized, high-judgment decisions.I deeply care about our security bar, our customers and how to help them grow, the humans in my teams, and our operational posture; to me, these are the inseparable pillars of a healthy engineering organization. My core philosophy is to move a team from reactive to proactive, establishing a self-sufficient ecosystem that stays agile as it scales. Operating at a large cloud infrastructure provider requires a blend of long-term strategic patience and short-term operational urgency.
