ABOUT FATIH GUNES

I am an Electrical & Electronics Engineer with 7 years of experience in network emulation, product support & network configuration of satellite communication systems, mobile & fix network planning, operation of transport access networks and software development in the defence, space and telecommunication industries. After graduation, I started my career at Turkcell which is a telco and service provider. I mainly worked with transport access network devices such as routers, switches, and radio links and occasionally with GPON devices. Working with various vendors, I learned about cross-vendor applications in transport networks and experienced their incompatibilities. In addition to all these networking works, I developed some automation scripts for the live networks by using Python. Then in Aselsan, I kept working on network management in a different area which is satellite communication systems. I have developed myself not only in networking but also in the field of RF. Working on large-scale projects at Aselsan, I solved complex network and RF problems on the terminal and HUB sides. Also thanks to the UNIX-based devices I use, I have improved myself in this area. Currently, I am working for Calnex which is in the fields of network sync, measurement and emulation. In the future, I am willing to continue working on network, IT and software development projects where I can employ my skills and experience.
