About Farah Faruqi
I am an experienced educational leader with over 15 years of service in the education sector, including leadership roles in education nonprofits and as an advisor and consultant to EdTech organizations. Throughout my career, I have embraced multiple roles—educator, facilitator, curriculum developer, grant writer, and researcher—each enriching my ability to lead with both strategic vision and grounded, practical knowledge. As a STEM curriculum developer, I design and develop rigorous, standards-aligned science and math curriculum that empowers educators and inspires students. My work focuses on project-based learning, culturally responsive pedagogy, and performance-based assessments that foster deep understanding and real-world application. With experience developing interdisciplinary units for K–12 learners, I collaborate with educators, content experts, and instructional designers to build engaging lessons, student-centered activities, and teacher supports. I integrate phenomena-based learning in science and data-driven inquiry in math to promote critical thinking and problem-solving across grade bands. As a national leader in STEM education, I have had the privilege of training over 300 teachers across the country in evidence-based STEM practices. My approach emphasizes building supportive, reflective, and collaborative professional learning communities where educators can grow and lead with confidence. In addition to my instructional work, I am actively engaged in research within the science and engineering education space and have extensive experience in grant writing and reporting. I’ve led the design of systems to track deliverables, collaborated with finance and evaluation teams, and co-authored compelling reports that demonstrate impact and maintain funder confidence. My ability to align reporting with strategic goals has ensured transparency, accountability, and continued investment in the programs I support.
