Hi!I’m Fey Cole, an educator, author, and play advocate committed to building inclusive, creative communities. With over two decades of experience, I currently lead as Curriculum Manager for Health, Life and Personal Sciences at South West College, with a specialism in Early Years.At the core of my practice is a belief in the power of kindness, collaboration, and play. In my career I seek to empower educators and support learners through innovative pedagogical approaches rooted in care, creativity, and community. In 2025, I was deeply honoured to be named an Honorary Professor by Hubei University, China, in recognition of my contribution to international teacher education and my values-led approach to learning.As a passionate community builder, I serve as a Director of PlayBoard NI, Northern Ireland’s leading play charity. I have volunteered for ten years as a School Governor and see it as my duty to use my experience to support the community that is there for myself and family.I’m the author of Intergenerational Practice in Schools and Settings and An Educator’s Guide to Project-Based Learning, and I’m soon to publish my third book, Play and Adolescence, which explores the role of play in teenage development and wellbeing. I am regular contributor to national and international education networks.Available for independent consultancy, public speaking, articles, and projects that are exciting.Always curious, always learning
