About Fernando Sanchez

My passion for helping people, creative problem-solving, and a desire to make a meaningful impact led me to pursue a career in wealth management. I believe strongly in a client-first approach and find deep fulfillment in helping individuals and families connect their wealth to their vision, values, and long-term goals through comprehensive financial planning. As a Wealth Manager at Aspiriant, I support and lead teams within the firm’s Exclusive Family Office group, partnering closely with wealth managers and directors to deliver highly personalized, high-touch service to ultra-high-net-worth families. My work spans the full wealth planning process—from gathering and analyzing complex financial data to developing net worth statements, cash flow analyses, and long-range projections aligned with personal goals. I assist in preparing tax projections, investment analyses, and sophisticated wealth transfer strategies, and regularly participate in client review meetings. I am also deeply involved in the day-to-day execution of planning recommendations, including philanthropic planning and foundation management. My approach to advising is thoughtful, strategic, and deeply personal. I specialize in integrating charitable giving, advanced income and estate tax planning, multigenerational wealth transfer, and tailored investment management to help families preserve, grow, and purposefully transfer wealth across generations. I earned a Bachelor of Science with a joint major in Mathematics and Economics from the University of California, San Diego, and graduated with distinction from UCLA’s Personal Financial Planning program. I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and an Enrolled Agent—the highest credential awarded by the IRS. I am also an active member of the Financial Planning Association and the Southern California Council of Charitable Gift Planners.Outside of work, I enjoy playing guitar, reading, and attending the symphony and opera with my wife, Anais. Most of all, I value spending time with her at church, at the beach, and with family. I am deeply engaged in the Greater Los Angeles community and regularly volunteer with organizations that promote financial literacy, provide pro bono financial planning, and expand student access to the performing arts. I serve on the Board of Directors for both the Southern California Council of Charitable Gift Planners and the Opera League of Los Angeles, where I act as Treasurer.
