About Fernando Perez

I spent the last four years on the San Francisco Major League coaching staff producing video content that optimizes communication between players, coaches and analytics systems. More simply put, coaches and front office folks told me what they wished to communicate to our players and I delivered films that our players would actually want to watch before games. Previously, I was working as on-screen talent in digital content and on TV. I\'m a former professional ballplayer (Tampa Bay Rays 2008 AL Champs + longtime Minor Leaguer) so I often worked on content at the fringes of sports, but sports are more of a high-fluency area than a comfort zone for me. I got my start in media hosting documentaries @ Vice & eventually worked for several other digital media companies and TV networks. I also worked as an educator @ The School of The New York Times for several years, teaching courses I designed in Creative Writing, Sports Media and Video Journalism. In 2019 I hosted a travel show covering the culture of the UEFA Champions League in Europe for Bleacher Report on TNT. Always up for a chat! On-Screen reel: https://youtu.be/Z8NxKfLHPhQ
