ABOUT FERNANDO LEDESMA

I’ve been passionate about engineering and business development ( and learning new things!) since I can remember… So the first thing I did after graduating in two different engineering schools in Electronics ( Alcala de Henares) and Telematics ( UPM ) in Spain, was to start my own engineering company ( ACPH ) when I was only 23. I gained lots of hands on experience and had lots of fun designing, developing and finally patenting my own ideas but I also learnt about real world - I realized how hard it would be becoming competitive in a global engineering and products market without a much bigger team and set of resources - so I decided to join Altran, a multinational engineering services company, where I started as jr. Consultant and I grew quickly to became Business Unit Director.Looking to expand my business knowledge I enrolled first in the University to study Business Administration and then in an Executive MBA in a top Business School ( IE )Since then, I’ve developed an international executive career, working for different global engineering service groups ( Altran, Randstad, AKKA Technologies, and then TMC ) as head of different countries, first in Europe ( Spain, Netherlands, UK ) and then North America ( USA, Canada ) where I live todayI’m known for my ability to diversify the operations in different engineering sectors, focusing them in clear business lines, acquire global customers, and making companies growI’m able to communicate fluently in three languages ( Spanish, English, French )
