ABOUT FERNANDO IGNE ROCHA
I’m a soil scientist and agroecologist dedicated to understanding how management practices shape soil microbiomes and the resilience of agroecosystems. Over the past 14 years, my work has evolved across field research, landscape to microbial ecology, and data science, always driven by the idea that healthy soils are the foundation of sustainable agriculture.I collaborate on research exploring nature-based and regenerative approaches, including cover cropping, organic amendments, and microbiome-informed management, aimed at improving soil health and ecosystem multifunctionality.Combining multi-omics tools (NGS, HT-qPCR, GC/MS), microbial ecology, and modeling, I seek to translate complex microbial data into actionable insights for climate-resilient, low-impact farming systems.
