Co-founded Synapse Consulting LTD in the Isle of Man. Providing independent IT consulting specialising in enterprise infrastructure & security solutions. In 2003 made the first steps into DR as a Service providing customers with the ability to provision ‘off-site’ virtual machines and an ability to replicate in real time into our Data centre. 2004/2005 Transitioned the business from a 100% independent consulting practice to a Vmware partner providing virtual solutions based upon EMC storage, this partnership accelerated the business growth and led to a substantial growth in customers and managed services. To Support growth Synapse built a new 150 seat Disaster Recovery centre with a new Data Centre to support our growing DR managed service product offerings. 2008/2009 Expanded Synapse from the base in the Isle of Man to new markets in the UK (Manchester & Scotland). Having invested heavily in both skill set and ‘general approach to business’ we felt we could make an impact in the new locations. 2012 Currently re-developing our Public Cloud Infrastructure including multiple cloud applications via our new cloud platform in the UK 2009 – EMC UK & I Premier Solution Partner of the Year 2011 – EMC UK & I Innovative Partner of the Year 20••••12 – Cisco Scotland Data Centre Partner of the Year
