ABOUT FERDI AKARSU

Ferdi Akarsu spent the first part of his nearly 20-year professional career working full-time in national and international associations (NGOs) focused on environmental services. Subsequently, he transitioned into the private sector—another key pillar of the professional ecosystem—by founding and leading a consultancy firm specializing in green transition. In the public sector, he has been working as green transition expert for İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and the İzmir Planning Agency. Continuing his academic pursuits with scientific research and publications, Akarsu now leverages his experience across all facets of the professional ecosystem.Akarsu has developed a sectoral green transition career including especially sustainability strategy, plans and reports, creating green destination, green city action plans and capacity building, gap analyzes for sectors such as tourism and energy actors.He is also expert regarding environmental services. He is giving consultancy including biodiversity researches especially for birds, environmental impact assessments, city biodiversity entegration, ecosystem services, protected site defining and choosing, management, monitoring and action plans for protected sites and species. Finally, He is writing articles about sustainability, nature, culture and bio-culture for some popular and scientific magazines and newspaper like Atlas Magazine, Hürriyet, Duvar, Oksijen and some popular newspapers. Ferdi Akarsu also published a new book called \"Green, Sustainable Life and Climate\" for the establishment of sustainability and climate-friendly activities in daily life.
