During college, I faced academic challenges that left me uncertain about my future. An internship helped me regain confidence and move forward—that experience continues to fuel my commitment to helping students facing similar uncertainty.For over a decade, I worked as a mechanical engineer in the oil and gas industry across a range of roles. Since 2021, I’ve volunteered with Rice Engineering Alumni (REA) to mentor students and expand access to early-career opportunities. I now serve as President of REA, where I help connect students, alumni, and companies—creating pathways for engineering students to secure their first professional experiences.My volunteer work focuses on strengthening alumni engagement, growing internship and early talent partnerships, and helping companies discover capable students—many of whom are first-generation, underrepresented, or navigating the uncertainty of securing that first meaningful opportunity.Today, I balance family life with volunteer leadership, finding purpose in supporting others and being present at home.
