I am currently based at the Mayday Hospital as a procurement specialist for Theatres and Materials Management, The main objective is to reduce costs and improve the optimum value for money, by reducing the number of suppliers and arranging clinical trials to ensure that quality and value for money is paramount, I have managed to gain a much better banding from select companies through running Mini Comps via the LPP frame works that are in place as well as working with distributers to bench mark as many products as we can. In the last 6 Month’s I have been responsible for sourcing a wide range of products ranging from floor mopes to anaesthetic machines,operating tables, microscopes,saving the trust over have also been standardising products over the trust to gain discounts from suppliers this in turn has saved us over far this year I have saved over 100k
