About Felix Castro Treminio
Felix Castro Treminio is an undergraduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, pursuing a double major in Public Policy and Peace, War, and Defense with a minor in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE).Felix is passionate about justice, equity, and opportunity—especially for communities across Latin America. Growing up in Nicaragua and later moving to the United States, he witnessed firsthand how political, social, and legal systems can either empower or restrict people based on where they come from. These early experiences shaped his commitment to reforming institutions and expanding access to opportunity, particularly in underserved communities.Alongside his studies, Felix serves in the U.S. Army through ROTC and the National Guard. His military service has strengthened his sense of duty and discipline while deepening his interest in the intersection of security, governance, and human rights. He aspires to become a Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer, using his platform to protect rights, uphold justice, and promote ethical leadership at both the national and global levels.At UNC, Felix is focused on developing the skills, perspective, and expertise needed to become a changemaker—someone capable of bridging the gap between law, policy, and service to drive meaningful and lasting impact.
