About Felipe Queipo Rego
17 years at the United Nations and still going strong—building bridges, amplifying voices, and making multilateralism work for everyone.I’m a Programme Management and Communications Officer with a passion for strategic partnerships, civic engagement, and sustainable development. From coordinating global conferences with thousands of participants to managing over $1M in funding, I’ve worked across continents to connect the UN with civil society, academia, youth, and faith-based organizations.Whether it’s securing Salt Lake City as the first-ever UN conference site outside New York, leading the 2024 UN Civil Society Conference in Nairobi, or mentoring future changemakers, I thrive on creating inclusive spaces where ideas turn into action.I believe the future of the UN depends on how well we listen, collaborate, and innovate—especially with those working on the ground. Let’s build a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable world together. Speaker | 🤝 Connector | Advocate for civic space | 🧭 Driven by purpose

Lead and manage the preparatory work of the 2024 United Nations Civil Society Conference in Support of the Summit of the Future, which will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, on 9 & 10 May 2024. The Department of Global Communications will host, together with civil society, 2024 United Nations Civil Society Conference in Support of the Summit of the Future, under the theme “Shaping a Future of Global and Sustainable Progress”. The conference will provide an opportunity for multi-stakeholder engagement ahead of the Summit of the Future and a venue for civil society to participate in the preparations process. The conference will provide civil society with an additional platform to speak out and share ideas that could contribute to the Pact for the Future negotiations, in line with SDG17 and the Common Agenda\'s vision of networked multilateralism. The Planning Committee of the Conference is comprised of close to 30 civil society representatives from across the globe, from all continents, and fields, working on putting together the programme, identifying speakers, shaping the different sessions, selecting applications for exhibits and workshops and crafting opportunities for youth engagement.
