I work closely with local municipal officials throughout the County, helping them address issues related to planning and development. Whether it’s providing guidance to boards and agencies or conducting studies on various planning topics, I’m actively involved in shaping strategies and making informed recommendations.A significant part of my role involves drafting policies for growth and development, as well as managing the County\'s Geographic Information System (GIS) and related data. I also prepare local master plans, zoning ordinances, subdivision regulations, and other essential tools for land use planning.In addition, I handle administrative and financial responsibilities for both the department and the GLOW Solid Waste Committee. This includes managing staff, assigning tasks, and conducting performance evaluations. I also contribute to creating the County\'s Capital Program, Asset Acquisition Budgets, and departmental budgets.I manage the County Agricultural Districts program and lead surveys on housing and other planning concerns. Coordinating with other public agencies is also a key part of my work to ensure smooth collaboration.Public engagement is a critical aspect of what I do. I prepare written reports, graphics, and presentations to share recommendations with community groups, legislative bodies, and the general public. Representing the Department of Planning, I attend public hearings, legislative meetings, and other forums to advocate for initiatives and provide insights.
