ABOUT FELIPE HOYOS

I’m Felipe Hoyos, a film production student at Santa Monica College with a deep passion for all aspects of filmmaking. I’ve gained hands-on experience as a production assistant with California Sober Productions, where I’ve had the chance to learn the ropes of set life. I’ve also worked in grip and lighting, and explored cinematography on a few independent short films, which has helped me develop a strong understanding of the technical side of filmmaking.In addition to my work on set, I’m currently taking Sundance film courses to sharpen my skills and expand my knowledge of the craft. Outside of class and production work, I’m also writing and developing stories with the goal of eventually directing my own projects. I’m passionate about creating meaningful stories and bringing them to life through film.As a cinephile, I spend a lot of time analyzing films and writing critical reviews, reflecting on what makes great cinema. I’m actively seeking production assistant opportunities to continue building my experience and contribute to exciting new projects. I’m excited about where this journey is taking me, and I’m eager to keep learning and growing as both a filmmaker and storyteller.
