As a graduate research assistant at the University of Michigan\'s Institute for Social Research, I contributed to projects on survey methodology and public opinion. I helped design and translate a web survey to oversample Spanish-speaking Hispanic and Hispanic-Black populations using respondent-driven sampling, and supported sampling design with census data for an NIH-funded study on Alzheimer’s and dementia. I also processed and analyzed pre-election polling data, cleaning and validating responses to better understand voter behavior. Additionally, I examined methodological challenges in address-based sampling (ABS) surveys in Puerto Rico, highlighting how incomplete address records and within-household selection can introduce bias and identifying solutions to improve coverage.
