ABOUT FEKEDE ASEFA KUMSA
Dr. Fekede Asefa Kumsa is a public health scientist with expertise in maternal and child health epidemiology and is passionate about education and research. He provides basic and advanced epidemiology and research methodology courses for post-graduate public health and field epidemiology students; he supervises masters\' and Ph.D. students’ theses. Fekede is an assistant professor of Epidemiology at Haramaya University, Ethiopia, with excellent feedback from students. Fekede also served as the head of the school of public health at Haramaya University. Fekede published several articles in national and international reputable journals, and he serves as a reviewer for several journals. Fekede worked as a public health consultant and evidence to policy specialist in the Fenot project, which is being implemented by the University of British Colombia and Harvard T-chan School of Public Health. He was also an honorary research associate at the University of British Colombia, the School of Population and Public Health. Currently, Fekede is a Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center, Center for Biomedical Informatics, in Memphis, Tennessee. Fekede is also serving as an Academic editor for Plos One journal since November, 2022.
