About Feifei Li

Feifei joined Kavout Algo Financials in 2022 with nearly two decades of investment experience, where she and her partners are passionate about applying advanced Machine Learning technology to decode the financial markets. Prior to joining the firm, she was CIO of Equities at Research Affiliates, leading research and strategy design that supports the firm’s systematic active portfolios and smart beta indices (over $120B). She also led the firm’s effort in asset allocation, alternative risk premia, as well as investment management. She was named as ETF Rising Star, Top 25 Venerated Voice by Authors in Advisor Perspectives and won numerous awards for her publications. She taught investment classes at both CalTech and University of California, Irvine, gave presentations at many academic and practitioner conferences. She was frequently interviewed by Bloomberg Market Close, Yahoo Finance, Barron’s and others. Feifei earned a BA from Tsinghua University’s School of Management and Economics in Beijing and a PhD in finance from the University of California, Los Angeles.
