I am a Principal AI/ML Engineer and an Associate Professor with 15 years of experience in ontology engineering, semantic knowledge discovery, NLP, and LLMs, spanning clinical AI, early R&D, and enterprise regulatory systems at Mayo Clinic, BMS, and Amgen. My career centers on a single theme: combining knowledge with data—and ontologies with NLP/LLMs—to build trustworthy intelligent systems that understand biomedical information at scale.My PhD introduced a graph-based framework for knowledge discovery (2016), which shaped my long-standing focus on semantic representation and knowledge-driven AI.
