Coordination of the Navigation and Perception Research Group at the Leonardo Innovation Hubs Robotics Laboratory.The focus is on driving the research, development, and seamless integration of robust mapping and navigation solutions for our mobile robotic platforms. It involves exploring cutting-edge areas, including SLAM, Multi-Modal Sensor Fusion, Semantic Mapping, Environmental Perception, Object Pose Detection and Localization, Motion Planning and Advanced Autonomous Navigation.Beyond the technical roadmap, my role includes the strategic development of the research area: mentoring PhD and MSc students, identifying and securing new research projects, and defining the long-term technical direction to ensure alignment with the broader Robotics Laboratory objectives.
