ABOUT FEDERICO PIPITONE

I have experience in international project coordination, evidence-based research, and capacity building in the field of sexual and reproductive rights. My current work focuses on the qualitative assessment of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) clinical trials, including the \"PrEP à Porter\" study (Paris) conducted with the Bichat Hospital team and the Acceptess-T association, and the \"CaboPrEP\" study (Paris), on cabotegravir injectable PrEP. Previously, as a Capacity Building Project Officer at IRD, I coordinated and supported training activities to enhance the technical and cross-disciplinary skills of partner scientific communities in Latin America and the Caribbean. I collaborated with researchers, project leaders, and external partners to design, implement, and monitor projects addressing development challenges in the region. I hold a LAGLOBE Master’s degree in Social Sciences from the IHEAL Institute of Latin American Studies, where I researched Brazilian HIV/AIDS civil society advocacy. My background also includes policy research and advocacy in sexual and reproductive rights, having worked for the European Parliamentary Forum for Sexual and Reproductive Rights for over a year. I am passionate about fostering collaboration and dialogue among diverse stakeholders and applying my analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to contribute to impactful projects and initiatives.
