About Federico Pecora
I direct Robotics Research at Arm, where we are architecting the future of robotics compute. We are re-defining how to realize, compose, and govern robot capabilities across heterogeneous compute systems. Previously, as Head of Movement Science at Amazon Robotics, I led the development of ML, optimization, and multi-robot control for the world’s largest mobile fleet.
Experience
Senior Principal Robotics Research Lead
Mar 2026 — Present · Austin, TX, US
I lead Arm’s research efforts in Physical AI, where we are defining the next generation of autonomous systems. Our mission is to build robust, general intelligence for robots by unifying foundation models and RL with search-based planning and optimization. From perception to task and motion planning, we are solving the fundamental problems that prevent robots from operating at scale. Our research provides the insights necessary to shape future compute architectures, ensuring Arm’s ecosystem is purpose-built to eliminate the barriers to building robots that work robustly in the real world.
