Supporting the Switch to Circular Economy in East and Southern Africa (SWITCH-2-CE in ESA). The action is jointly co-financed by the European Union and the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and implemented by Expertise France and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The overall objective of the action is to foster an inclusive transition to circular economy in East and Southern Africa.Key responsibilities:1) Supporting the assessment of key financing gaps and capacity building needs for Startups and MSMEs in the field of circular economy, aiming to inform the design and development of programs and solutions offering customised business support and financing opportunities;2) Identification of potential partners among entrepreneurial support organisation, business development support providers and financial institutions to engage for the set up of a financing facility to enhance access to finance and technical assistance for the private sector;3) Development of key recommendations for the design of the finance facility framework including governance structure, modalities of technical assistance component and selection criteria.
