I joined Thales Alenia Space Italia (formerly Alenia Spazio S.p.A.) in 1998 coming from Finmeccanica S.p.A.(now Leonardo S.p.A.), the main Italian industrial group operating globally in the aerospace, defence and security sector where I served as Export & Project Finance Manager at the Strategic Finance Department. After being in charge of Trade and Export Finance at Thales Alenia Space Italia till 2002, I was appointed Head of Finance in 2003 and then I enlarged my responsibilities to Risk & Insurance management and Bid Controlling. My duties include now Treasury (management of bank relationships, cash management, currency and interest rate, bonds & guarantees), Credit management, Public Finance, Bid Controlling and Export Finance (financial engineering, ECA financings, commercial/political risk mgt), Risk and Insurance management. I graduated in Political Science and Economics at University “La Sapienza”, Rome, I then earned a degree in Corporate Finance at the London School of Economics and I successfully attended the Corporate Finance and Banking School at I.R.I. Management and Mediocredito Centrale S.p.A.(now Unicredit Group).I hold courses and seminars at University of Chieti-Pescara, G. D’Annunzio, Department of Quantitative Methods and Economic Theory, SIOI- Società Italiana per l’Organizzazione Internazionale, La Sapienza University, Master in Space Transportation Systems and Thales University - General Economics, and at ISIA - Istituto Superiuore per le Industrie artistiche. I am co-editor of the professional book \"Space Program Management: Methods and Tools\" edited by Springer in 2012 and also the writer of several professional papers on project financing and risk management in the space sector. I am married and I have two children.
