As a Site Reliability Engineering Manager, I lead a team of 5 professionals responsible for ensuring the stability and availability of two critical applications serving over 3 million users in Peru: Jokr and Agora Superapp. Reporting directly to the CTO and being part of the staff team, my focus is to ensure these applications run smoothly 24/7.Jokr Web: https://jokr.peAgora Web : https://app.agora.peKey Responsibilities:Technical Leadership: I oversee a team of 5 engineers and lead the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) strategy for our applications, including the implementation of Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) based on Google\'s SRE strategy.Stability and Monitoring: My team is responsible for constant monitoring of over 50 microservices supporting our applications, identifying issues early and, when necessary, performing rollbacks to maintain system stability.Cost Optimization: We\'ve achieved significant improvements in the GCP (Google Cloud Platform) budget, reducing costs by 30% through efficient infrastructure strategies and optimization.Incident Management: Due to the critical nature of our applications, I work full-time to ensure efficient and effective resolution of incidents, even outside regular working hours.Cross-Functional Collaboration: I provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams on Continuous Delivery practices and promote collaboration to ensure stability is a priority in all aspects of product development.
