ABOUT FEDERICO GIANNINI
I am a PhD Candidate in Computer Science at DEIB – Politecnico di Milano, where my research explores Streaming Continual Learning (SCL). SCL is a novel research direction we are defining at the intersection of Streaming Machine Learning and Continual Learning. The aim is to develop intelligent systems capable of learning continuously from evolving data streams, while effectively managing concept drift and avoiding catastrophic forgetting to maintain a comprehensive understanding of past information for future reuse. We also take into account temporal dependencies between data points, adding a time-aware perspective inspired by Time Series Analysis.
