ABOUT FEDERICO BOLZONELLA

Professional basketball player for 16 years. In the meanwhile graduated in \"Politecnico di Milano\", Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineer, Master\'s degree in Mechatronics and Robotics.Passionate about everything dealing with the automation world, whether it involves the use of DCS or PLC-SCADA to control systems or applying fault finding and troubleshooting techniques to solve problems.I strongly believe that raising the standardization level in the automation field leads to a more robust design, CAPEX/OPEX reduction, ease of use and maintenance.I love all the unknown aspects of my job because considered as a big chance to learn and grow.The simultaneous careers as professional basketball player and student gave me the possibility to test my ability in using the time at best, to work under pressure and to motivate the teammates for reaching results. In the working field, all this helped me in developing problem solving attitudes, quick learning skills and ease of integration with new colleagues.From a competence point of view, I believe to be quite complete in an OT environment.My academic education gave me strong mechanical basis and taught me the engineering approach to the problems. I\'ve then acquired capabilities in mechanical analysis and mechatronic design, from developing components via CAD or complete handling system, to choosing mechanical system components (drivers, motors, actuators, sensors) and integrating them into PLCs.But my strongest experience deals with HMIs, from developing SCADA or Operator Panels by scratch, to applying fault finding and troubleshooting techniques, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions to raise systems reliability.I have also a basic knowledge of SQL databases, a work-in-progress competence that is going to fill my hard-skill package.
