ABOUT FLEUR DSYLVA
I once had a tour guide who showed me that even the most incredible destination can feel ordinary—or extraordinary—depending on who is leading the way. A breathtaking landscape might speak for itself, but a great guide provides the soul and story that brings it to life. That insight ultimately shaped the path I chose.Today, I am a hospitality professional and educator who has spent the past decade creating immersive, people-centered experiences around the world. I am driven by human connection and the challenge of transforming a traveller’s dream itinerary into something meaningful, memorable, and exhilarating. My journey has taken me from managing a surf lodge in Portugal to co-ordinating cultural excursions across England and connecting with travellers in Lake Louise. No matter the setting, my focus has remained the same: helping people feel a genuine connection to the places they are exploring.I combine a diploma in Travel Services Management with a B.A. in Education and a CELTA (Pass A). Together, this allows me to manage complex tours while keeping large groups informed, engaged, and supported with empathy, patience, and cultural awareness. As a triple citizen (Canada, UK, and EU), I bring a global perspective and flexibility to every role, whether that’s navigating cobblestone streets in Europe or delivering a historical deep dive on the Prohibition era along the Great Lakes.I thrive in dynamic environments where adaptability, personal engagement, and a sense of humor go a long way, especially when luggage gets lost or the weather decides to rewrite the itinerary!Above all, I am and always have been passionate about facilitating once-in-a-lifetime experiences that inspire awe and deeper cultural understanding. My ultimate goal as a tour director is to create journeys that feel not only exceptionally organized, but authentic and truly unforgettable.
