Germany’s digital association Bitkom recently shared a study on the shortage of IT-experts in Germany. By 2040 they expect this gap to grow to In parallel the Sub-Saharan Africa population is estimated to double by 2050. This will result in significant growth of a younger generation. It presents a massive opportunity for talent development in the tech sector.These factors should drive global organizations to expand their footprint in Sub-Saharan Africa to benefit from a growing market. It should motivate German companies to leverage digital experts in Sub-Saharan Africa to close the skill gaps and drive digital transformation and growth in the home region. With more than 15 years of sales and leadership experience in international SaaS companies entering and expanding in the DACH region, I now focus on the synergy between South Africa and Germany.
