Hello, and welcome to my profile!I’m Fazeel Asghar, a Mechanical Engineering graduate with a specialization in Thermal Power Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. Currently, I’m pursuing my master’s in Renewable Energy and Decarbonization Technologies at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, UK. I’m passionate about sustainable energy solutions and transitioning to a low-carbon future.My academic journey has been marked by several exceptional achievements. I was a silver medalist at the division level in college, ranked third in the Department of Mechanical Engineering during my BSc, and graduated with honours. I also secured a fully funded scholarship for my MSc in Thermal Power Engineering. Most recently, I was selected as a Commonwealth Scholar for the MSc in Renewable Energy and Decarbonization Technologies at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland.In terms of professional experience, I have completed a nine-month fellowship at a Combined Cycle Power Plant. I also worked as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore for 16 months. Additionally, I have been offering freelancing services in mechanical design and simulation for the past three years.My research interests have evolved from exploring carbon-neutral fuels in internal combustion engines to assessing resource potential and analyzing the feasibility of renewable energy-based power plants. I have published two conference papers and one article in a Q1-ranked journal, with two additional papers currently under review in renowned Q1 journals. The primary focus of my work is to contribute toward achieving sustainable development goals (SDG-7: Affordable and Clean Energy, SDG-12: Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG-13: Climate Action) for a more sustainable future.I am always eager to explore new opportunities in the field of renewable energy and sustainability.
