About Fazal Shirazi

With a PhD in Biotechnology and over 14 years of experience in translational research and medical affairs, I am a Field Medical Director at Pfizer, specializing in malignant hematology. My mission is to advance the development and delivery of innovative and effective therapies for patients with hematologic malignancies, such as multiple myeloma, lymphoma, and leukemia, by leading the clinical and scientific engagement with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, payers, and formulary decision makers. In my previous roles, I have demonstrated my expertise and skills in hematology, oncology, immunoassay, and infectious disease, by conducting and publishing high-impact research, providing pre- and post-sales support to customers adopting and optimizing various immunoassay platforms, and building strong relationships with key opinion leaders and influencers. I have also proven my leadership, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities, by leading and mentoring research teams, presenting and reporting scientific findings, and designing and executing research projects.
