ABOUT FAWAD INAM
is a senior higher education leader with over two decades of experience spanning research, public universities, and executive leadership of a private higher education. Most recently, he served as Executive Principal and Chief Executive Officer of Oxford Business College, the oldest independent business school in Oxford and the fifth-largest business higher education provider (based on NSS 2025 results) in the United Kingdom. In this role, he held responsibility for over students, 720 staff, £46m+ annual turnover, a £10m+ surplus, and a national estate of ten campuses and offices across England, comprising approximately two million square feet of higher-education space.He holds Principal Fellowship of Advance HE (PFHEA, since 2020), is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE), a Chartered Engineer (CEng), and an Honorary Professor at the University of East London. His leadership is underpinned by extensive sector-level quality assurance, validation, accreditation and academic review activity across 65 higher education institutions (including 54 in the UK), alongside a consistent record of measurable improvement in student outcomes, academic standards and institutional performance, aligned to UK higher education regulatory and quality frameworks.Professor Inam’s work and impact have been covered by regional and international press, including the Oxford Mail, Bloomberg and the BBC. His research portfolio comprises 150+ publications, aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with his work continuing to attract citations on a daily basis (averaging approximately one citation per day over the past decade), and he has previously been ranked within the global top 2% of cited scientists.
