I am a Senior Counsel at Versant Media and Co-founder of a social enterprise called Memunatu Magazine, Inc.At Versant, I serve as newsroom counsel to CNBC, MS NOW, and E! News. Prior to joining Versant, I served as Senior Counsel for the NBCUniversal News Group where I advised TODAY, E! News, MSNBC, CNBC, and the Local stations on pre-publication and pre-broadcast review, access issues, and other newsroom matters.Previously, I was a Senior Associate at the law firm of Covington & Burling, where I helped clients navigate internal and government investigations and commercial litigation. I was also involved in Covington’s Africa practice, Business and Human Rights practice, and a range of pro bono matters relating to public international law, voting rights, and immigration.For six months, I was seconded to a multinational investment bank, where I worked in-house as part of the anti-money laundering group.As Co-founder of Memunatu, I help direct content creation and strategy to address Memunatu’s mission-to produce a classroom magazine for teenage girls across Africa to promote literacy, leadership, and empowerment.I have been a featured speaker and panelist at the World Bank, Cornell Law School, Wharton, Clinton Global Initiative University, and more. Was named a Top 40 Under 40 lawyer by the National Black Lawyers for the years 20••••24.Leadership Counsel on Legal Diversity Pathfinder, Class of 2020.Super Lawyers List Rising Star 2022.
