ABOUT FATMA S.

With a Master\'s degree from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and Harvard University, I have a strong academic background in International Law and International Security, as well as Political Science and Government. I have also completed semester exchange at Leiden University, where I studied International Law and Politics, respectively. I have gained valuable practical experience working as a Research Fellow for the Afghanistan Task Force at the Fletcher School, where I contributed to policy analysis and advocacy on the political and security situation in Afghanistan. I have also interned at two United Nations Tribunals, the IRMCT and the STL, where I supported the legal teams in conducting research, drafting documents, and preparing cases. Additionally, I have worked as a Paralegal at Clayman & Rosenberg LLP, a leading criminal defense firm in New York, where I assisted attorneys with complex litigation and investigations. I am passionate about human rights, international law, peace and security, conflict prevention and mediation, diplomacy, counter-terrorism, civil society, and development. I have conducted academic research on various topics related to these areas, such as international criminal courts, nuclear security, and stateless refugee children. I am a Cypriot - American, fluent in English, Turkish, Urdu, and Hindi, and limited proficiency in Greek and French.
