Managed full project lifecycles of above 7 bar gas pipeline projects, from initial client proposals through to feasibility studies, environmental statements, conceptual designs, detailed designs for mechanical and cathodic protection disciplines, material procurement, installation, testing, on-site commissioning and client handover, both for injection into the gas grid as well as off-take connections. This includes work for private clients and high-pressure connection works for adoption by gas networks such as Cadent Gas and NGT• Project engineered the detailed design, installation, testing and commissioning of the first National Transmission System (NTS) off-take pipeline project for a CNG filling station in the UK and for the first NTS biomethane injection project in the UK• Managed the appraisal and approval of private high pressure design work in accordance with the IGEM/GL/5 design assurance process and GD/PM/G/17 process for Cadent networks, to ensure all equipment installed on site complied to the relevant UK/IGEM standards• Liaised with local authorities, appropriate regulatory bodies and utility providers to ensure all projects are safely completed in compliance with QA, CDM and SHEQ requirements as necessary, including creating HSE Safety Case reports and pipeline emergency procedures• Supervised and liaised with contractors during installation and testing of assets, including ensuring all RAMS for construction activities are reviewed and approved prior to work commencing on site• Participated in Formal Process Safety Assessments including HAZOPs, HAZCONs and HAZIDs• Maintained regular project updates to clients via teleconferences, office meetings and site visits to ensure project progress is constantly reviewed and programmes are updated where required• Created budget estimations and projected finance spreadsheets for projects, as well as conducting cost comparison analyses against supplier and sub-contractor quotes to assess options
