About Fatima O. Hasan

Fatima Hasan is a strategic advisor with over 16 years of experience in banking, strategy, government relations, financial institutions policy, regulatory strategy, political engagement, congressional hearings and managing policy agendas, including, economic and business related issues. Fatima began her career in financial services at Duff & Phelps in 2008 working across Detroit, Chicago, Boston and New York. She helped execute automotive bankruptcies and corporate restructurings as a result of the financial crisis and the implementation of TARP. In 2011, Fatima joined Citi as a banker on the mergers and acquisitions team based in New York. In that role, Fatima worked to execute some of the key divestitures Citi made after the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act and the Volcker Rule were enacted. Since 2015, Fatima has been in Washington DC, working on the government relations team at Citi first as Chief of Staff then Director and Head of Business Execution. In this role, Fatima serves as a strategic advisor on a variety of global financial institutions, regulatory and business policy issues and supports the CEO/EMT on Washington engagement. Fatima is fluent in Arabic and holds a BA in Finance and International Business from Michigan State University, as well as a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from Georgetown University. Her Master\'s thesis presents an empirical analysis of Macroprudential Policy and its impact on global financial markets.
