ABOUT FATIMA NJOYA
The Hamburg-based (freelance) journalist, moderator, and creative works as a multidisciplinary storyteller with a strong focus on sustainability in fashion and culture. When Fatima is not searching for trends or exploring new developments, she prefers to write about feminism, and zeitgeist topics or share experiences from her life as a person of colour. Above all, she seeks out new ideas and approaches, exploring in her past studies ‘how racialized computer generated influencers impact the authentic representation of diversity in the media industry‘. She interned for ZEITmagazin, and Vogue Online, and worked for the sustainable luxury label Fassbender, gaining broader perspectives in the industry. During her time as the first fashion & sustainability editor at Glamour, she influenced the discussion on the topic and gained greater visibility. Currently, Fatima is working as a Fashion Editor at Cosmopolitan. Besides her work at the print magazines, she also writes and creates content as a freelancer for magazines such as TUSH, femtastics, das Wetter and more. Since 2022 she developed a passion for moderating panel talks and interviewing people on stage for events such as 202030 - The Berlin Fashion Summit, Stiftung Bildung, Neonyt Düsseldorf or Fairtrade Deutschland.
