ABOUT FATIMA BHINDERWALA
I am a physiotherapist with experience across hospital, fitness, osteopathy, and sports rehabilitation settings. I hold a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Manipal Academy of Higher Education) and an MSc in Advancing Physiotherapy Practice (Coventry University). My career began at Kasturba Medical Hospital, where I completed over ten clinical rotations across ICU, neurology, cardiopulmonary, paediatrics, women’s health, orthopaedics, and general medicine wards. This gave me a strong foundation in patient care and a broad perspective on physiotherapy practice.Following this, I worked with Get Set Fit, a leading fitness platform in India, where I developed a deep interest in injury prevention and exercise-based rehabilitation.Building on this experience, I pursued my MSc in Advancing Physiotherapy Practice in the UK. After completing my degree, I worked closely with osteopaths, refining my diagnostic skills, manual therapy techniques, and ability to identify subtle postural and biomechanical discrepancies.Currently, I practise at One Body London (Shoreditch Clinic), where I work with a diverse caseload of elite athletes to individuals managing workplace or lifestyle-driven musculoskeletal concerns. My experience includes:* Back-to-sport rehabilitation: Supporting runners, powerlifters, and footballers through ACL post-operative rehab, rhabdomyolysis recovery, ITB syndrome, and chronic ankle instability (CAI) rehabilitation.* Athletic performance support: Helping marathon runners achieve their goals in London, Berlin, and Paris, as well as working with golfers (rotator cuff injuries, labral tears) and racquet sport athletes such as tennis players.* Upper limb rehabilitation: Managing wrist, forearm, and hand injuries, particularly for professionals in the production industry experiencing repetitive strain and overuse conditions.* Ergonomics & postural care: Conducting workplace assessments and designing tailored programmes for desk-based professionals to improve posture, mobility, and reduce muscular tension.* Holistic treatment: Combining osteopathic hands-on therapy, sports massage, and functional exercise prescription to deliver individualised, well-rounded care.
