ABOUT FARSHID TAMJID
Farshid Tamjid earned his Ph.D. in RF and Microwave Circuits and Systems from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2020. His research spanned various areas, including power amplifiers, GNSS RF front-end design, spatial filtering and beamforming, as well as RF and microwave antennas and circuits, such as PCBs, RFICs, and MMICs.Since 2020, he has been an RF PA Design Engineer at Qorvo Inc. in Hillsboro, OR, where he specializes in designing MMIC Envelope Tracking (ET) and Average Power Tracking (APT) high-efficiency power amplifiers. His work includes designing PAs for best linearity and current, developing PA output matching networks, designing PA cells on laminates, and conducting performance characterization using PNAs, spectrum analyzers, and other measurement systems.With over a decade of hands-on experience, he has made significant contributions to both academia and industry, driving high-impact research and practical engineering advancements.
