Maintain high sales performance. Oversee team of employees in multiple departments by leading and directing the work of others. Ensure accuracy of freight flow, noting any discrepancies and damaged merchandise. Assist customers with service by inquiring on their needs based on their project goals including making suggestions and offering ideas. Loss prevention, asset protection. Inspect all power equipment daily and lock out. Ensure that every work station has proper safety equipment (gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc.) and cross-train employees in the proper way to execute every customer related service (cutting glass, chain and rope, lumber, tile, etc.). Perform safety walks at the beginning and ending of every shift and ensure that there are no issues that need to be addressed (pallet unshrinking wrapped, missing bands on lumber, boxes stacked incorrectly in overstock etc.). Perform inventory control/loss prevention of the top twenty high theft items in various departments. Offer options to increase sales at all times vs. projections/prior sales during monthly leadership meetings. Perform opening and closing procedures such as cycle count, front facing, cleaning, stocking, and operating the forklift.
