As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Electrify America, my main role is to ensure the reliability and performance of Electrify America and Electrify Canada\'s EV Charging Applications, along with other internal web-based software systems like Help Desk, Device Management, Asset Management, Pricing, and Access Management applications.Responsibilities:• Testing the Backend and User Interface: I carefully test both the backend and user interface of Electrify America and Electrify Canada\'s EV Charging Applications to make sure everything works smoothly for users.• Testing Features and Functionality: I test and verify that all the features and functions of the applications work properly. I ensure they meet the requirements and work as expected for end users.• Real-time Log Verification: During EV charging sessions, whether through the App or in the Lab using cards, I keep a close eye on the real-time logs. This helps us quickly spot any issues and address them promptly.• HMI and EA App Verification: I carefully verify the details on the Human Machine Interface (HMI) screen and the Electrify America App. This includes member information, plan types, charge types (Minute-based or kWh), pricing, member savings, premium plans, and discount calculations. I make sure everything is accurate and aligns with the chosen plan/tariff.• Using the EV Charger Simulator: I run sessions using the EV Charger simulator to test various features and functionalities. This helps ensure the applications work well in real-world EV charging scenarios• Test Automation: I develop and implement test automation framework using Java and Selenium, focusing on UI test automation.• Backend API Testing with Insomnia: As part of my responsibilities, I conduct thorough backend API testing using the Insomnia tool. This allows me to validate the reliability and accuracy of the application’s API functionalities, ensuring seamless communication between different components of the software systems.
