ABOUT FARRAH PHILPOT

I’m a passionate sports media and fitness professional across the wide landscape of athletics. Currently, I work as a personal trainer at The Fitness Lab Ottawa, I\'m a member of the Carleton Athletics broadcast team doing both live production and colour/play-by-play commentary, and an online content creator for Shutter Sports Media and True Evolution Hoops.My social media experience spans from making real-time posts during games to creating engaging TikTok and YouTube content, and everything in between. I’ve also contributed to several professional sports teams in Ottawa, including the BlackJacks in the CEBL, the Titans in the Frontier League, and the REDBLACKS in the CFL.With a background in journalism and film at Carleton University, I bring a creative eye to every project and task that I come across, whether it’s managing social media accounts, leading post-game interviews, or producing a broadcast from tip-off to the winning basket. My personal training certification and work in fitness also allow me to connect with athletes from a performance and wellness perspective.I’m always looking to grow my involvement in the sports and fitness industry, where I can combine my passion for wellness, digital creativity, and sports-focused media.I’ve earned recognition for my leadership and dedication, including two OSEG Employee of the Month awards and a Carleton Ravens Rookie Employee of the Year award.Let’s connect!
