About Farley Jenkins

I have many years of professional experience in libraries and loved every minute of it. I excel at establishing rapport with patrons and providing public services in a manner that keeps them coming back. I have provided reference services both in person and also remotely through telephone, email and instant messaging as well as information literacy instruction in the form of guest lectures in core and major courses and drop-in information sessions. In every library I have worked I focused on using my expertise in educational theory, methods and curriculum to build and improve on programs of information literacy instruction covering the entire college experience through focus on the ACRL Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education. I currently serve as chairperson for the Library Instruction Committee at my present institution. I also have experience developing course pathfinders using LibGuides, subject-focused collection development, cataloging, stacks management as well as preparing outreach material such as flyers, booklets and brochures.
