ABOUT FARIHA IMRAN
My goal is to help scale deep tech companies by connecting them to the right resources, grow startup communities, and connect tech ecosystems in and outside Canada. Currently, I do this through my role as a Venture Manager at the Creative Destruction Lab, where I work with startups in the AI and quantum space.I have over 10 years of experience with startup ecosystems across North America and the Asia Pacific. My past experience includes corporate innovation projects (with clients like Unilever, Rolls-Royce, Rabobank, Cargill, and the Asian Development Bank), venture capital, and leading sales at an early-stage startup.I hold an MBA with an emphasis in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Business Design from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management. I also graduated from the Singapore Management University with a Bachelor of Sciences in Economics and a second major in Political Science. In my personal time, I love reading, hiking, cooking, and exploring new eateries. I am a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and also enjoy learning other forms of dance.
