ABOUT FARID WARDAK

I hold an LLB honours and a post-graduate degree LPC in law from the UK, I am a qualified solicitor and in the process of completing my master’s degree (LLM). I specialise in drafting and reviewing laws, contracts, and treaties, and developing policies. Currently, I have been working with a law firm in Manchester in the UK, in the fields of immigration and civil litigation since March 2017. I am running the immigration department myself and I advise clients on various fields of immigration and civil legal matters. I have worked as a legal advisor at AISA ( Afghanistan Investment Support Agency). I have worked as an international Legal Advisor with Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Energy & Water for almost four years. I have drafted Consumer Protection Law, and extensively contributed in amending Competition Law, Energy and Regulatory Services Law for Afghanistan. I have 17 years of multi-sectorial experience ranging from working in commercial field, drafting of law, project management and trainings including drafting policy, reviewing, amending and shaping laws in Afghanistan. I have represented Afghanistan as a legal representative on project, and in ABA conference in Washing DC.
