   PTC and Wireless EngineerIn charge of all wireless systems at Caltrain, including Voice Communications (VHF), Positive Train Control (PTC), Broadband Service (5G) and 900 MHz Signaling Network (ATCS).1. PTC: In charge of ITCM time slot plan for consolidating WIUs (PCEP project). Responsible for refurbishing the PTC base radio project. Monitor all PTC base radios daily. Coordinate with the operations team to upgrade onboard PTC radios and slot 10. Participate in ITCM technical meetings (nationwide). A member of ITC Program Management Team (nationwide). Created a new project to add a new PTC radio to the PTC lab for troubleshooting and training purposes.2. ATCS: Created a project to replace the old 900 MHz radio network with a new cell modem network. This project will eliminate use of our old microwave network and will terminate leases on microwave towers.3. VHF: Co-locating the new VHF sites with the PTC sites and decommissioning the old VHF site. This project enhances voice communication coverage along the tracks which is critical for the new EMU cars. The new VHF network will be ready for the implementation of the new digital VHF network by 2025.4. Broadband (5G): Evaluated the design of the previous vendor and recommended the best technological options for this project.
