The team has worked on prosecuting and defending criminal and regulatory breaches. Given the amount of prosecution experience that we have from the time a number of our team spent at the criminal bar and seconded into prosecution agencies, including the SFO, CPS, and RCPO (the former HMRC prosecutions office), we are also uniquely placed to deal with private prosecutions.We have also advised a range of companies, from start-ups through to large multi-national and listed companies on their ethics and compliance issues and conducted complex global internal investigations. In addition to advisory work, the team conducts compliance training workshops for global banking institutions, multinational corporations, including face to face training for Executive Committees and Board members.

ABOUT FARHEEN ISHTIAQ-STANSFELD
I specialise in white-collar defence and global investigations. My practice also includes advice on compliance, risk management and governance, with a focus on advising companies on mitigating their exposure to serious fraud and other financial crime. I have experience in high-profile cross-jurisdictional dispute resolution, sports arbitration, and advising on matters that have a criminal and civil crossover, including fraud and tax offences. My financial services practice includes advising on anti-money laundering processes and conducting compliance training workshops for domestic and international clients.I am also a committee member for Female Lawyers Breakfast Networking (FLBN), Finalist in the Diversity and Inclusion Programme of the Year category at the UK Women & Diversity in Law Awards 2024 - an initiative aiming to support the retention of female lawyers in the profession, encouraging networking between senior and junior lawyers and promoting cross-industry collaboration on diversity and inclusion.
